I’m really pleased to see that folks are embracing their inner geek and downloading The Infinite Monkey Cage podcast – today it’s number 1 on iTunes.
I’ve been lucky enough to snaffle tickets for a couple of recordings of the Radio 4 show. One at The University of Manchester (where the students were treated to the appearance of their most famous and elusive lecturer!) which featured Jon Culshaw doing his stellar (pun intended) impression of Brian Cox amongst so many others it felt like we really got our money’s worth with 20 people on the panel instead of 5 (the tickets were free by the way). The other recording was earlier this week at the shiny new Media City, which I’m hoping will be the location for many future recordings, as I can see the BBC building from my desk at work. My workmate and I sat inside the BBC Philharmonic’s new home (or the inside of a lilac bath cube as Robin Ince aptly described it) for an interesting show focused on the science of sound.
I’m excited to be going to see the cage door open next week at the Manchester O2 Apollo as the Uncaged Monkeys go on tour again.
