Garnstudio have tonnes of free patterns for things that are useful (so no jackets for grapes) and you actually enjoy wearing. I made these slippers from this pattern and I loves ’em.

I made these sock monkey and teddy bear hats for my new great cousin Seren Rae when she was 3 months old.
I freestyled both patterns (without writing it down, d’oh) but you can get sock monkey patterns from Etsy that look just like this one.
For the sock monkey hat I used a 3mm hook with:
For the bear hat I used a 3mm hook with:
I’m at that age where all my friends are getting married and having babies (which I’m really cool with as it gives me even more of an excuse to make cute stuff and then palm it off on other people’s kids).
I made a few versions of this hat for said babies, using Sirdar Click Chunky.
The pattern is from Angel’s Chest on Etsy.
One day I was plodding solemnly behind my boyfriend in Forbidden Planet when I decided I needed a new hobby. I lifted my weary head and a book came into view whose cover was adorned with the cutest little chappy. A woolen robot? Surely not. I bought it and have been hooked ever since. Hooked. Heh.
LBP’s Sackboy is a great little guy for beginners to step up to larger Amigurumi toys. He was my first proper attempt at a recognisable figure after several wobbly dinky (but awesome) robots from ‘Crobots‘.
I found Sackboy’s pattern at nerdigurumi.com which is full of genius toys and patterns you won’t find anywhere else.
I adapted the pattern to make a squarer head and his pinchable cheeks and added a real zip to his chest.
Being half Finnish, my ancestry demands that I adore sauna, sausages, vodka, silver birch trees, driving, herring (I don’t), Santa Claus (who doesn’t?) and the biologically unfathomable Moomins.
I thought I’d freestyle my amigurumi Moomin troll and I’ve got to say I’m pretty darn chuffed with this first time effort. I just need to give him the gift of sight and then I’ll post the pattern. Judging by the number of incomplete projects I have on the go, that’ll be sometime in the next 3 years… 😉
I crocheted this Bioshock Big Daddy about a year ago for my boyfriend’s Christmas present. The pattern is from the brilliant nerdigurumi.com
I found some gorgeous iridescent yellow vintage glass buttons for the ‘eyes’ from ebay.
